Community Participation

Self Advocate Meetings: On the first Friday of each month, Bruce Shoreline Advocates and Sound Advocates will be meeting up as a group to chat about upcoming events and activities that they want to be a part of.

Love U 2 Pizzas:  Monday’s from 4:30-6:30, we will be making a variety of different pizzas up at the 10th St location.

Choir: Come to The Link on Tuesday mornings and let’s hear your beautiful voices SING!!!  We will be practicing and then doing a few local performances with the songs we have learned.

Out for Brunch: Tuesday mornings we will be visiting different locations for Brunch.

Attack Practice:  Tuesday afternoons join us at The Bayshore as we cheer on the Attack as they get ready for their upcoming games.

Cookie Crusade: Wednesday mornings we will be learning a different cookie recipe each week….maybe you have a recipe you want to share with the group of your favorite cookie?

Fall Hiking: Let’s explore all the beautiful Fall colours that surround this area with a nice hike each Thursday afternoon. This group is for more experienced hikers who can handle uneven terrain.

Bingo Around the World:  Our beloved BINGO will be enjoyed at The Link 2-4pm. This time we will focus on cultures from around the world during our break time.

Fitness Group: Friday mornings a group will be heading to the YMCA to walk the track, use the exercise machines and access the pool.  Free if you have a membership, or $15+tax per day

Bowling:  We will be taking a road trip to the Port Elgin Bowling Alley and meeting up with groups from Walkerton and Port Elgin and making up new teams each Wednesday afternoon.

SOS:  Every other Wednesday we make the trek over to pick up personal supplies and groceries from the OSHARE location.

Shine as a Volunteer in your Community: Feel like giving back to your community? Thursday mornings we will be sharing our time with community partners and at Local Events that may need an extra hand.

Pasta Party: Do you like trying new pasta recipes?  Each Thursday afternoon we will be making a new recipe and we will learn how to make our own pasta..
